Our support team works across both Bentleigh RSL and The Cheltenham Club to deliver a wide range of services and resources for members, their families and the broader local community. We are committed to the welfare of veterans and widows, providing the best possible assistance — whether that’s in the comfort of their own home or within a residential aged care facility.
We want to assure our members that there will be no change to the veteran support, welfare services or community activities you know and rely on. You will continue to be welcomed at our venues as always, and every service supporting veterans and the broader community remains in place.
Notice to Cheltenham Moorabbin RSL Members
The Committee of the Bentleigh RSL Sub-Branch wishes to advise members that it has entered into an agreement with the Melbourne Racing Club (MRC), through its operating entity Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG), for PLG to lease and operate the venue at the Cheltenham Moorabbin site.
Under this arrangement, Bentleigh RSL Patriotic Fund will retain ownership of the site, while Pegasus Leisure Group will take responsibility for the venue’s day-to-day hospitality and trading operations.
Importantly, there will be no change to the services and support provided by Bentleigh RSL to members, veterans and the broader community. Welfare services, veteran support and community activities will continue as they currently operate, and members will continue to be welcomed at the venue as they always have been.
Notably, trade and commercial operations will continue under the new arrangement, ensuring ongoing service and access for veterans, members and patrons, while strengthening operational capability and preserving the welcoming environment, heritage and community connection that are central to the Cheltenham Moorabbin RSL.
